The Saskatoon Men’s Volleyball Association (SMVA) still has spots available for their upcoming season. Space is limited, so deposits ($200) must be sent in asap.

The yearly captain’s meeting is schedule for September 7th, 7:00pm at the Henk Ruys Soccer Centre; games will start on September 14th. The league runs from September through March and costs roughly $1000 per team.

2011 – Seeding Tournament

Welcome to the SAVA 2011-2012 season

The seeding tournament is set to begin Sunday Sept. 11 and continue the following weekend on Sept. 17th & 18th.  
The regular season starts on Sept 25th.

We also have 6 dates available for teams to book practise time. The openings are all at Aden Bowman (one gym) from 7pm-9pm or (8pm-10pm) on:

  • Sept 1
  • Sept 6
  • Sept 7
  • Sept 8

Calling all teams to the 6th Annual Sun-of-a-Beach Co-ed 4′s Beach Volleyball Tournament.

  • When: July 16, 2011
  • Where: Sutherland Bar beach volleyball Courts
  • Entry Fee: $60 per team

Cash prizes to be awarded, at least two females must be on the court at all times.

I am hosting a co-ed beach two’s vball tourny on June 25th.

If I don’t get enough 2′s interest, then I will hold 4′s. The poster with details is attached.

Be sure to have your 2011 – 2012 league fees mailed, post marked by June 1, 2011 to keep your spot in the league.

This year’s fees are $1000 per team.

Entry Fee: $250

Payouts will be based on number of teams entered.
Maximum 10 teams, first paid will reserve their spots, payment due by April 13th.
Minimum 3 girls on the court at all times, will be round robin with a single knockout playoff to follow.

• Local teams to play April 8th (evening) and the 9thth
• Out of town teams to play April 9th
• Cash payout based on number of entries
• Women can enter with both a co-ed and women’s team

This is a quick reminder to all league members and team captains, that permit players and subs are not allowed during the playoffs. To be eligible for playoffs a player must have been added to a teams roster on or before Jan. 23rd, 2011.

Dean Swan is hosting a Co-ed volleyball tournament on January 22nd.

Teams: I will be accepting 10 semi-competitive and 8 competitive teams
